About Teshima
The Teshima Art Museum, designed by artist Rei Naito and architect Ryue Nishizawa, is located on a hill in Karato, Teshima, overlooking the Seto Inland Sea. Working with local residents, the artist reclaimed a previously fallow rice terrace and installed a teardrop-shaped building in one corner of the vast site. Measuring 40 x 60 meters and rising to a maximum height of 4.5 meters, the building is a pillarless concrete shell structure. Two openings in the ceiling allow the surrounding wind, sound, and light to enter directly into the interior, creating an organic space where the building and nature resonate with each other. A "fountain" is born within the interior throughout the day, and the landscape conveys an infinite variety of expressions as the seasons change and time passes.

Teshima Yokoo House
The Teshima Yokoo House, designed by Yokoo Tadanori and architect Nagayama Yuko, was created by renovating an old house in a village in the Ieura district, facing the port that serves as the gateway to Teshima.
The exhibition space takes advantage of the layout of the existing building and is composed of a "main house," "storehouse," and "barn," and displays 11 two-dimensional works.
Additionally, installations will be displayed in the rock garden, pond, and cylindrical tower, creating a symbolic extension of the artwork space across the entire site.
The space is a philosophical place that evokes both life and death, and the building uses colored glass to control light and color.
The light, wind, and colors of Teshima, as well as the appearance of the artwork, are transformed in various ways, connecting the spatial experience like a collage.
Interactive experiences are connected like a collage.

A place for people who dream of the sea
A work by a unit of Australia's leading contemporary artists and architects.
The texture, which resembles both a fishing net and driftwood, is expressed through iron forging.
Many people from the local area and far away come to this beach to sit and watch the sea.
A place where you can feel closer to the sea and sky and let your thoughts float away.

This is also a photo spot that is often seen on social media, #Convex mirror,
It is located on the way from Teshima Art Museum to the Heart Sound Archive.
It's amazing how even such an ordinary scene can start to look like art.
